Top Tools Apps Performance in Oceania Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, the top tools apps in Oceania showed varied performance trends across downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Google Authenticator, published by Google LLC, maintained a steady download rate, starting at approximately 55K weekly downloads and experiencing fluctuations throughout the quarter, ending at around 41K. The app's weekly active users saw a peak of about 1.6M in late July, with minor variations, closing the quarter with nearly 1.5M active users.

Photo Recover-File Recovery by NetConnect showed an upward trend in weekly downloads, starting from 10.8K and reaching a peak of 26.6K in late August. The weekly active users also increased significantly, beginning at 22.6K and climbing to 54.8K by the end of September.

QR & Barcode Scanner from Gamma Play observed a decline in weekly downloads from 15.7K in early July to 6.9K in early September, before rebounding to 14.5K by the end of the quarter. The active user base fluctuated throughout the quarter, ending with approximately 577K users.

Open Browser - Smart & Safe by AdPulse INC exhibited a steady increase in weekly downloads, rising from 5.2K to 11.3K. Its weekly active users also grew from 10.8K to 27.8K mid-quarter, before stabilizing around 20.7K by the end of September.

Samsung Smart Switch Mobile from Samsung Electronics experienced a moderate download rate, starting at 14.1K and maintaining a consistent trend around 11K. The active users showed a slight decline from 86.5K to 80.6K over the quarter.
